New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of senior Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer Om Prakash to the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) as General Manager (Civil) at its Corporate Office.
Three-Year Deputation Approved by Railway Board
According to an official order issued by the Railway Board, Om Prakash, who is currently serving as Chief Engineer/TMC with Eastern Railway in Kolkata, will assume his new role on deputation for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointment will be subject to government approval regarding exemption from the rule of immediate absorption applicable to DFCCIL.
Eastern Railway Asked to Relieve Officer Soon
The Railway Board has directed Eastern Railway to relieve the officer at the earliest so that he can take charge of his new responsibilities without delay.
The date of relief will be communicated to the Board after completion of all formalities.
Part of Railways’ Infrastructure Strengthening Drive
This appointment is part of the Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and accelerate infrastructure development across key railway projects, particularly in freight transportation.
