Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), India’s leading energy major, has officially announced the launch of its Apprenticeship Program for 2025 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This large-scale initiative is designed to equip young Indians with industry-relevant skills and hands-on experience in the nation’s vital oil and gas sector.

Key Dates and Program Details

  • Total Vacancies: 2,623 apprentice positions
  • Application Deadline: November 6, 2025
  • Result Announcement: November 26, 2025

The apprenticeship program will be conducted across 25 ONGC work centres, covering major operational regions such as Dehradun, Delhi, Mumbai, Vadodara, Sivasagar, Rajahmundry, Chennai, Mehsana, Ankleshwar, and Agartala, among others.

These training centres span ONGC’s Northern, Western, Eastern, Southern, and Central operational sectors, ensuring widespread participation across India.

Training Across Diverse Disciplines

The program offers exposure to a wide array of professional streams, including:

  • Engineering
  • Geoscience
  • Human Resources
  • Accounts
  • Fire & Safety
  • Laboratory Analysis
  • Information Technology

Through structured mentorship and real-world assignments, apprentices will gain valuable insight into ONGC’s exploration, production, and energy management operations, preparing them for future employment in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Driving Skill Development and Energy Self-Reliance

This initiative underscores ONGC’s continued commitment to capacity building, employment generation, and skill enhancement among India’s youth. It also aligns with the Government of India’s Skill India Mission and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, promoting self-reliance through skill empowerment.
