Vadodara: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on 4 September 2025 in Vadodara, Gujarat. The agreement enables ONGC to extend its Crisis Management Team (CMT) services to IOCL-operated oil and gas fields across India.
Expertise in Well Control and Emergency Management
Under the MoU, ONGC will provide its expertise to handle blowouts, complex well control situations, and other critical emergencies at IOCL’s exploration and production (E&P) operations. The collaboration ensures rapid response capabilities and strengthens safety measures for Indian oil and gas infrastructure.

A Testament to ONGC’s Crisis Management Leadership
This marks the third MoU between ONGC and leading Indian E&P companies for crisis management services. The partnership reflects the confidence Indian operators place in ONGC’s ability to manage high-risk operational scenarios and reinforces ONGC’s reputation as a leader in emergency preparedness and operational safety.
