Partha Sarathi Das (IA&AS:1994), who has been serving as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Posts, has been repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds, with the imposition of an extended cooling-off period. The decision was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 3, 2025.
Das had taken charge of the post in August 2022. Prior to this, he served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution.
An officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), Das holds a B.Tech. degree and is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). His career includes notable tenures as Director-General of Audit, Northern Railway, and Director General (Railway) in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) office in New Delhi.
