Patna: The Malahi Pakdi Metro Station on Patna Metro’s priority corridor is almost ready for operations. The Khemnichak–Malahi Pakdi stretch is set to start metro services soon, as construction work at the Malahi Pakdi station nears completion. Authorities are now finalizing all operational and passenger facilities to ensure a safe, smooth, and dignified experience for commuters.

Passenger-Centric Design Focuses on Safety and Comfort

According to Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC) officials, the Malahi Pakdi station has been designed keeping passenger convenience and security in mind. Every facility, from ventilation systems to modern ticketing counters, has been tested for efficiency and reliability.

Key features include:

  • Advanced ventilation and air circulation systems
  • Clean and spacious station premises
  • Modern ticketing and automated fare collection systems
  • High-standard safety and surveillance mechanisms

Additionally, the station is equipped with lifts, escalators, and emergency systems, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all commuters, including elderly and differently-abled passengers.

Inspection by DMRC Highlights Operational Readiness

Recently, Pradeep Kumar, Deputy Chief Service Secretary of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), conducted a detailed inspection of the Khemnichak–Malahi Pakdi corridor. During the visit, he evaluated:

  • UPS rooms and emergency power systems
  • Passenger lifts and escalators
  • ASS (Automatic Signaling System) rooms and SCR (Station Control Rooms)
  • Overall platform safety and commuter facilities

His inspection reaffirmed that the corridor meets highest safety and operational standards before public launch.

Metro Services Expected to Begin Soon

PMRC sources confirmed that the official operational date for the Khemnichak–Malahi Pakdi stretch will be announced this month. Authorities are conducting final checks on all passenger amenities to ensure a seamless experience from day one. Once operational, this metro section is expected to significantly reduce travel time for commuters and enhance urban connectivity in Patna.

The Malahi Pakdi station emphasizes passenger dignity and ease, with features such as:
