Ayodhya: Ayodhya is all set to make history once again on November 25, 2025, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will ceremoniously hoist the saffron flag atop the seven shikharas (spires) of the newly constructed Ram Temple. This flag hoisting will mark the official completion of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple’s grand construction, and will symbolize the culmination of a long-awaited dream for millions of devotees across the world. The event is expected to draw significant attention both nationally and internationally, with the participation of key dignitaries, including RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and thousands of devotees from all over the country.
Historic Flag Hoisting Ceremony to Mark Ram Mandir’s Completion
The key highlight of this historical ceremony will be the hoisting of a massive 22-feet long saffron flag, adorned with symbols representing the Raghavansh dynasty — including the sun, the ‘Om’ symbol, and the Kovidar tree. This flag will be unfurled at a height of 161 feet, atop a 42-feet tall flagpole, which will be built to withstand wind speeds of up to 60 km/h. This ceremony will not only be a moment of joy for Ram devotees but also a testament to the hard work and visionary leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It will be seen as the culmination of years of relentless effort to bring the grand vision of the Ram Temple to fruition.
Vedic Rituals by 108 Acharyas to Begin on November 21
The grandeur of the occasion will be accompanied by a five-day Vedic ritual starting from November 21, 2025, with 108 acharyas (scholars) from across India participating in the sacred ceremonies. Led by Kashi’s Ganeshwar Shastri, these scholars will conduct the Ramcharitmanas recitation, Shri Ram Raksha Stotra, and various Vedic havans (sacrificial fires). This will bring a spiritual vibrancy to the event, as chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ resonate through the air, with the divine blessings of Lord Ram ushering in a new era of prosperity and peace.
A Glimpse Into the Ram Temple’s Magnificence
The Ram Janmabhoomi temple, built in the traditional Nagara architectural style, is a sight to behold. With a total length of 380 feet and width of 250 feet, the three-story structure boasts 392 pillars and 44 doors. On the ground floor of the temple lies the shrine of Lord Ram in his ‘Bal Roop’ (childhood form), while the first floor houses the Ram Darbar (court) where devotees can offer their prayers. The temple complex also includes several other temples dedicated to deities like Lord Surya, Goddess Bhagwati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Shiva, among others. An intricate representation of the Ramayana with 3D murals will add to the cultural richness of the site, while the installation of the statue of Lord Jatayu, the sacred bird who helped build the Ram Setu, will serve as a reminder of the rich mythological heritage of this sacred land.
PM Modi to Enter Through Adi Guru Shankaracharya Gate
Prime Minister Modi will enter the temple complex via the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Gate and offer prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple before proceeding to the main temple. This will be followed by a ceremonial tour of the temple, where he will witness the awe-inspiring craftsmanship and devotion that has gone into the creation of this magnificent edifice. His visit is expected to be a momentous occasion, as it will further cement the temple’s place as a global symbol of devotion, spirituality, and Indian heritage.
Chairman Nripendra Mishra Inspects Final Preparations
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Chairman Nripendra Mishra conducted a detailed inspection of the temple complex on November 8, 2025, to ensure that all preparations for the grand flag hoisting ceremony are completed on time. He reviewed the final arrangements with the construction agencies and directed them to expedite the finishing touches. Mishra’s inspection highlights the meticulous attention to detail that is being given to this once-in-a-lifetime event, ensuring that it proceeds without a hitch.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s Role in Ayodhya’s Global Transformation
The grand ceremony also marks a defining moment for Uttar Pradesh, and especially for Ayodhya, which has been transformed under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Since assuming office, CM Yogi has overseen the rapid development of infrastructure in Ayodhya, turning it into an international religious tourism hub. His government has built hotels, guesthouses, and other essential amenities, creating numerous jobs for the local population and boosting the local economy.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Invitation to PM Modi
CM Yogi Adityanath personally traveled to Delhi to extend a formal invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inviting him to be part of the historic occasion. The chief minister also expressed his pride in the successful development of the Ram Mandir, stating that the ceremony is a reflection of the unity, devotion, and commitment of the people of India.
