POWERGRID Launches 20th Asset Management Conference ‘Manthan’; New Digital Tools and Reports Unveiled

New Delhi: The 20th edition of Manthan – POWERGRID’s Asset Management Conference – was inaugurated in Mahabalipuram, Chennai by Mr G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance), along with Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Mr Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), and Mr Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects).

The annual conference serves as a major platform for POWERGRID to review asset performance, share best practices, and strengthen strategies for grid reliability and operational excellence.

Awards Presented for Regional Benchmarking Performance

During the conference, awards were presented to the best-performing regions in benchmarking for FY 2024-25.

  • Eastern Region-I (ER-I) secured the first prize,
  • Eastern Region-II (ER-II) won the second prize, and
  • Southern Region-II (SR-II) received the third prize.

The benchmarking awards recognize regions that demonstrate leadership in operational efficiency, maintenance practices, and reliability parameters.

The Directors also unveiled a series of important reports and digital tools designed to enhance operational monitoring and strengthen grid resilience –

  • Transformer & GIS Reliability Survey Report
  • NTAMC CoE Experience Book (UTKARSH)
  • ATR (Tripping) Portal
  • Budget Monitoring Portal
  • AMS Portal

These initiatives aim to support predictive maintenance, improve data-driven decision-making, streamline budget oversight, and boost overall asset management efficiency.
