Lucknow: In a significant move aimed at strengthening the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre in Uttar Pradesh, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued promotion orders for 20 Provincial Police Service (PPS) officers to the rank of IPS.
The decision comes following the formal approval of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) held earlier this year. These promotions are seen as recognition of the officers’ dedicated service and performance over the years within the Uttar Pradesh Police.
