New Delhi: The Central Government has announced a series of high-level bureaucratic appointments across various ministries, marking a reshuffle aimed at strengthening administrative functions in strategic sectors such as internal security and tribal affairs.

Shyam Sundar Agrawal Appointed Integrated Financial Adviser, ITBP

In a significant posting, Mr Agrawal, a 2011-batch officer of the Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICoAS), has been appointed as the Integrated Financial Adviser (IFA) to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Delhi, which functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Mr Agrawal will hold the position at the Director level under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has instructed that he be relieved of his current responsibilities immediately to take up the new assignment.

Vipin Kumar Appointed Joint Commissioner, EMRS, Ministry of Tribal Affairs

In another key appointment, Mr Kumar, a 2014-batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), has been named Joint Commissioner (equivalent to Deputy Secretary level) in the Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.

Vipin Kumar is currently posted in his cadre and will soon be taking charge of his new role, aimed at improving administrative oversight and educational delivery within the EMRS network.

Varnali Deka IAS Appointed Director, Ministry of Tribal Affairs

Dr Deka, a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.

Dr Deka currently serves as Commissioner & Secretary to the General Administration Department, Government of Assam. Her transfer to the Centre is seen as part of the broader efforts to bring experienced state-level leadership into key Union ministries.
