Following an official statement issued on May 14, Mr. Harsh Baweja has been appointed as the Director (Finance) of the Maharatna PSU RECL. Mr. Baweja had been serving as the Executive Director (Finance) in the same organisation before his new appointment.
Mr. Baweja made the cut from a list of 11 candidates after being recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board and took charge after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) gave the nod on May 10.
Mr. Baweja brings with him a gamut of experience having worked over 33 years in managing financial and business operations across multiple institutions. With over three decades of expertise in finance and a background as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Baweja’s appointment underscores his proven track record in navigating complex financial landscapes.
In his new designation as the Director (Finance) of REC, Mr. Baweja is expected to lead REC’s financial strategies, ensuring the company’s continued financial resilience and facilitating its ongoing initiatives towards sustainable development. His expertise will be pivotal in strengthening REC’s position as a leader in the energy finance domain.
