Ajay Kumar Sharma has been recommended as the next Director (Personnel) of SJVN Limited, a public sector unit under the Ministry of Power, located in Shimla. This decision was made by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Friday, following their panel interviews.
Currently holding the position of General Manager at SJVN, Mr. Sharma was selected from a competitive pool of 11 candidates. The selection panel, which convened on May 24, included potential candidates from several notable public enterprises such as NTPC Limited, REC Limited, SAIL, Indian Railways, and HPSEBL.
The Director (Personnel) role at SJVN became available after the retirement of the previous director, Geeta Kapur, on April 30. Sushil Sharma, Director (Projects) at SJVN, has been managing the responsibilities of the position in the interim.
In his new role, Mr. Sharma will join the Board of Directors and report directly to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will oversee the coordination and implementation of personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, and administrative control within SJVN.
