Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) hosted the ‘Consumers’ Meet 2024’ in Durgapur, West Bengal, on April 5, focusing on the theme “Energizing Sustainability – A Path to Energy Conservation and Prosperity.” Approximately 75 retail consumers of DVC from West Bengal participated in the event.
S. Suresh Kumar (IAS), the Chairman of DVC, directly engaged with retail consumers, addressing their concerns and grievances during the forum.
During the meet, the Chairman outlined DVC’s vision for retail consumer growth and emphasized the organization’s efforts towards achieving equitable tariffs in both West Bengal and Jharkhand. He also discussed DVC’s integration of renewable power sources into its overall energy portfolio, its open access policy, and various consumer-centric initiatives.
The Chairman also presented the “Consumer of the Year” awards to recognize the outstanding contributions of select consumers.
The event saw the presence of other key figures from DVC, including Arup Sarkar, Member (Finance); Sanjiv Shrivastav, Executive Director (Commercial); DK Singh, Executive Director (System); Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director (Distribution), along with other senior executives.
