The government of Punjab has lately mandated a huge bureaucratic shake-up across the state by transferring as many as 25 IAS & 99 PCS (Punjab Civil Service) officers across the state. As mentioned via the transfer order — IAS Alok Shekhar (1994 batch), last posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of jails, has been given the additional charge of social justice, empowerment and minorities.
IAS DK Tiwari (1994 batch) has asked to take charge as ACS in the transport department, while IAS Rahul Bhandari (1997 batch) has been given the charge of principal secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries.
IAS Rahul Tiwari (2000 batch), last posted as Secretary in the housing department, has been given the additional charge of new and renewable energy sources while IAS Sandeep Hans (2010 batch) became the director in the department for social justice, empowerment and minorities.
IAS Sanyam Aggarwal (2012 batch) became the commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Bathinda, and Officer HS Sudan (2013 batch) was made Special Secretary in the Department of Revenue.
IAS Aditya Uppal (2015 batch), last posted as Deputy Commissioner of Pathankot, has been given the additional charge of commissioner in the Pathankot municipal corporation. IAS Abhijeet Kaplish (2015 batch) has been posted as director of mines and geology with an additional charge of secretary of the Punjab Development Commission.
Ms. Neeru Katyal Gupta (2016 batch) has been posted as chief administrator of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority. IAS Ravinder Singh (2017 batch) has been posted as director in the Department of Higher Education, while IAS Ankurjeet Singh (2018 batch) has been posted as additional commissioner of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation.
IAS Chandrajyoti Singh (2020 batch) has been posted as additional deputy commissioner in the Department of Rural Development, Roopnagar, while IAS Ojasvi (2020 batch) has been given the charge of ADC, general, Faridkot.
