In a significant development, the Government of India has promoted seven Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers from Punjab to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Centre has officially approved their appointment, marking a major career milestone for the officers.
The officers who have been elevated to the prestigious IAS include Rahul Chaba, Anupam Kaler, Dalwinderjit Singh, Sukhjeet Pal Singh, Jasbir Singh, Vimmi Bhullar, and Navjot Kaur. These appointments have been made against vacancies that arose in 2021 and 2022.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions issued the notification confirming their appointments on Monday.
