Dehradun: Under the state government’s outreach initiative “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar”, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in a multi-purpose public service camp held at Tadikhet in Almora district. During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted directly with local residents and inspected stalls set up by various government departments.
The camp aimed at providing on-the-spot solutions to public grievances and extending the benefits of multiple welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries. Several citizen services were delivered at the venue itself, reflecting the government’s commitment to responsive and accessible governance.
Development Projects Worth ₹77.25 Crore Inaugurated and Launched
On the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 32 development projects in Almora district, involving a total investment of ₹77.25 crore. This included the foundation laying of 9 projects worth ₹47.85 crore and the inauguration of 23 completed projects costing ₹29.40 crore.
Addressing thousands of villagers present at the event, the Chief Minister said that the state government is making continuous efforts to ensure that administrative services and governance reach people in their own regions. He highlighted that most government services have been taken online and that multi-purpose camps are being organised regularly to ensure speedy, on-site resolution of public issues.

Government Reaching People Directly: CM Dhami
CM Dhami said the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” campaign has been launched to bring governance and administration directly to the people. He urged citizens to actively participate in such camps held at the Nyaya Panchayat level and to freely share their problems and suggestions so that authorities can resolve them effectively and without delay.
Focus on Women Empowerment
The Chief Minister also emphasised the government’s strong focus on women welfare and empowerment. He said that to ensure greater participation of women in all sectors, the state government has implemented 30 per cent reservation for women in government services. Through various schemes, effective steps are being taken to make women financially independent.
He noted that more than 1.68 lakh women in the state have become “Lakhpati Didis”, creating a new milestone in women empowerment and self-reliance.
Major Announcements for Ranikhet Assembly Constituency
Chief Minister Dhami made several important announcements for the development of the Ranikhet Assembly constituency. These include:
- Construction of embankments and pedestrian pathways along the Gagas and Ramganga rivers in Bhikiyasain development block
- Construction of mini stadiums at Government Inter Colleges in Devlikhet, Chaunaliya, Khirkhet and Bhujan
- Upgradation of the Sanna Lift Irrigation Scheme
- Approval of ₹1 crore for the construction of an NCC ground/stadium in Ranikhet
- Expansion and beautification of Rani Jheel in Ranikhet
- Construction of a helipad within the Ranikhet Assembly constituency

Several senior officials and public representatives were present at the programme, including Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta, local MLA Dr Pramod Nainwal, office-bearers Kailash Pant and Anil Shahi, Block Pramukh Babli Mehra, District Magistrate Anshul Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Devendra Peencha, Chief Development Officer Ramjisharan Sharma, and BJP district president Ghanshyam Bhatt.
