New Delhi: The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has approved the appointment of Mr. Venkatesapathy S., Joint Secretary (Shipping), as the new Government Nominee Director on the Board of Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI). This move comes following the cessation of Mr. R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary (Ports), who stepped down from the Board with effect from July 28, 2025.
Statutory Formalities Underway
SCI has initiated the necessary statutory procedures to formalize Mr. Venkatesapathy S.’s appointment. The company will disclose further details in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations and related circulars in due course, as stated in its official exchange filing.
