RailTel Wins ₹140.71 Crore AMC Contract from Ministry of Defence, Boosts Long-Term Revenue Visibility

Mumbai: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a leading telecom infrastructure and services provider under the Ministry of Railways, has secured a major Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The contract is valued at ₹140.71 crore, marking an important milestone for the company in expanding its presence beyond the railway sector.

The development was disclosed to the stock exchanges through a regulatory filing dated January 22, 2026, in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Key Details of the Ministry of Defence Contract

According to RailTel’s official disclosure, the key terms of the contract are as follows:

  • Awarding Authority: Ministry of Defence (Domestic Entity)
  • Nature of Work: Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) – Services
  • Contract Value: ₹1,40,71,45,056 (approximately ₹140.71 crore)
  • Date of Receipt: January 21, 2026, at 15:00 hours
  • Execution Timeline: Contract to be executed by January 30, 2031

RailTel also clarified that the order does not involve any related party transaction and has been awarded on an arm’s length basis. The promoters or group companies have no interest in the awarding entity.

SEBI-Compliant Disclosure to Stock Exchanges

The company informed the exchanges under Regulation 30 of SEBI LODR Regulations, in line with the latest SEBI circular (SEBI/HO/CFD-PoD1/P/CIR/2023/123). RailTel confirmed that:

  • The disclosure was made without any delay
  • The information was approved by the Executive Director / Chief Operations Officer (ED/CO)

This ensures full transparency for investors and market participants.
