Rajasthan: 16 RAS Officers Promoted To IAS

The promoted officers include nine from the Rajasthan Administrative Service 1996 batch and seven from the 1997 batch

Rajasthan has got 16 new IAS officers as sixteen Rajasthan Administrative Officer (RAS) have been promoted to Indian Administrative Service (IAS). After a long process, the list of promoted officers was released by the Central Personnel Department on Wednesday. The promotion of these officers was approved in a high-level meeting held in Delhi recently.

According to the Personnel Department, the promotion process was going on for 16 IAS posts vacant in the year 2022. On June 15, Rajasthan Chief Secretary Usha Sharma also went to Delhi for an important meeting in this matter. The promotion of these officers was sealed in that meeting. After that, the list of 16 officers of Rajasthan Administrative Service, who were promoted after completing all the formalities related to it, has been released today.

As per the notification issued by UPSC, 16 RAS officers have been appointed as IAS. The promoted officers include nine from the Rajasthan Administrative Service 1996 batch and seven from the 1997 batch.

The promoted officers include 1996 batch 9 RAS Priyanka Goswami, Jagjit Monga, Ramnivas Mehta, Arun Garg, Rajendra Verma, Alpa Chowdhary, Sanchita Vishnoi, Harsh Sawan Sukha and Ashutosh Gupta. While the names of 7 RAS officers of 1997 batch include Babulal Goyal, Balmukund Asawa, Narayan Singh, Kishore Kumar, Hanumanmal Dhaka, Bachanesh Agarwal and Vasudev Malavat.

After being selected for the IAS service, they will now be given training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). After that they will be given admission in a specific batch.
