In a significant administrative reshuffle within the Indian Railways, Rajesh Kumar Kashyap, IRTS (HAG), currently serving as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), PTS, Northern Railway, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Member – Commercial in the Railway Board. The appointment is in Pay Level-16, one of the highest seniority levels within the central government.
In a parallel move, Dr Manoj Singh, IRTS (HAG), who has been serving as the Principal Chief Operations Manager of East Central Railway, and was earlier under orders for posting as Principal Executive Director (Marketing & Business Development) at the Railway Board, has now been appointed as Additional Member – Marketing & Business Development, also in Pay Level-16.
Both appointments are expected to strengthen the policy and operational decision-making at the Railway Board, particularly in areas of commercial operations, marketing strategies, and business development, aligning with Indian Railways’ broader vision for modernization and growth.
