REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) and a leading non-banking financial company (NBFC) under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to provide Rs. 21,000 crore in financial assistance over the next five years. The agreement, signed at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal, aims to strengthen the state’s power sector infrastructure.

The MoU was formalized in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Mr. Neeraj Mandloi (1993-batch IAS officer), Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) Mr. Avinash Lawania (2009-batch IAS officer), REC Limited’s Executive Director Mr. Pradeep Fellows, and Chief Project Manager (Bhopal) Mr. Satyaban Sahu, along with other senior officials.
This collaboration highlights REC’s commitment to modernizing the state’s transmission and distribution networks, promoting renewable energy, and ensuring a reliable power supply for industries, businesses, and households. The investment is expected to accelerate Madhya Pradesh’s transition towards a more sustainable and efficient energy ecosystem.
