New Delhi: RITES Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to provide specialised consultancy and technical support for highway and infrastructure projects across the North-Eastern region and other strategic areas.
The partnership will cover various stages of infrastructure development, including planning, development, construction and maintenance of highway and related projects. The collaboration aims to strengthen project planning, engineering standards, construction quality and safety across NHIDCL’s infrastructure portfolio.
RITES to Provide Specialised Technical Consultancy
Under the MoU, RITES will provide a broad range of consultancy and technical services to support NHIDCL’s highway and infrastructure projects.
The services will include:
- Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for highways and tunnels
- External technical audits
- Third-party quality assurance
- Structural health assessment of bridges and flyovers
- Technical Support Unit (TSU) services
- Road safety audits
- Crash investigation and mitigation planning
- Slope stability studies
- Design services
- Authority Engineering services for highways, tunnels and slope stability projects
These services are intended to support projects from the planning and design stage through construction, quality monitoring and maintenance.
