New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, showcased its major railway and infrastructure projects and technological capabilities at INNOPROM. India 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 9 to 11.
A key highlight of the three-day industrial exhibition was the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the RVNL stall. RVNL Chairman and Managing Director Saleem Ahmad welcomed the two leaders during their visit.
RVNL Highlights Major Railway and Infrastructure Projects
At the exhibition, RVNL presented a range of ongoing projects and technological capabilities, highlighting its growing role in railway infrastructure development and large-scale project execution.
The key projects and technologies showcased by RVNL included:

Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainsets Developed with Russian Technology
One of the major highlights at the RVNL stall was the Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset, which is being manufactured in collaboration with Russian company TMH.
RVNL and TMH have formed KINET for manufacturing the trainsets. The partnership combines Indian manufacturing capabilities with Russian railway technology.
The project represents an important example of India-Russia industrial and technology cooperation in the railway sector.
TBM Model Showcased for Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Link
RVNL also showcased a model of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) being deployed for tunnel construction under the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Link Project.
The project involves railway infrastructure development in the challenging Himalayan region, where tunnel construction is a key component.
The TBM display highlighted the use of advanced construction technology for executing major railway projects in difficult geographical conditions.
New Pamban Railway Sea Bridge on Display
Another major attraction at the RVNL stall was the New Pamban Railway Sea Bridge, described as India’s first vertical lift railway sea bridge.
The bridge represents a significant engineering project in India’s railway infrastructure and was showcased as part of RVNL’s portfolio of major bridge and railway projects.
The display highlighted RVNL’s capabilities in executing complex infrastructure projects involving challenging terrain and marine conditions.
RVNL Showcases BharatNet Project in Uttar Pradesh
RVNL also presented its work under the BharatNet project in Uttar Pradesh.
The project was highlighted through dedicated displays and an audio-visual presentation at the exhibition.
The BharatNet project forms part of RVNL’s diversified infrastructure portfolio beyond traditional railway construction, demonstrating the company’s involvement in large-scale digital connectivity infrastructure.
