Mumbai: Sadanand S Date, a 2007-batch IPS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre, has taken charge as Executive Director at the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), where he will head the regulator’s Investigations Department.
SEBI announced in an official release that Date assumed office in Mumbai on March 4 and will oversee investigations into securities law violations and market misconduct.
Will Lead SEBI’s Investigations Department
As Executive Director, Date will supervise one of SEBI’s most critical functions — investigating possible cases involving:
