2008 batch IIS officer Santosh Gopal Ajmera, who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been selected as Director of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Ajmera to the post under the central staffing scheme for a balance period up to February 25, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
