New Delhi: In a significant leadership development, Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), one of India’s premier public sector shipping enterprises, has promoted Mr. Jothi Krishnan Kandasamy to the position of General Manager, Internal Audit, effective December 24, 2025. This strategic elevation positions him within the company’s senior management team and reinforces SCI’s focus on strong governance and internal talent development.

Veteran Leadership with Extensive Experience

Mr. Kandasamy brings over 33 years of professional experience across multiple critical business domains. His expertise spans budget control, management information systems, IT network management, software development, dry dock operations, international shipping, training and development, and internal audit.

A graduate in Computer Technology with an MBA in Finance & Marketing, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, Mr. Kandasamy joined SCI as a Junior Officer in 1995. Over the past three decades, he has steadily risen through the organization, demonstrating dedication, technical proficiency, and leadership acumen.

Key Role in Financial Governance and Transparency

In his new role as General Manager, Mr. Kandasamy will lead the Internal Audit Department under the Finance Division. He is tasked with strengthening financial governance, operational transparency, and internal control mechanisms across SCI’s operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

SCI emphasized that this promotion underscores the company’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing internal talent while building a robust leadership pipeline for sustainable growth and operational excellence.
