Project to be Developed Under 25-Year Power Purchase Agreement

The awarded wind project will be executed under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), ensuring long-term power supply commitments.

The project is expected to strengthen India’s renewable energy infrastructure while supporting the country’s efforts to increase clean power generation capacity and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.

Resolven Expands Renewable Energy Portfolio

Commenting on the project win, Resolven CEO Parag Sharma said that the company’s growth strategy, supported by EQT’s growth capital, has enabled it to participate in large-scale renewable energy opportunities while maintaining tariff discipline and project bankability.

He highlighted that multiple wind project wins with central Renewable Energy Implementing Agencies (REIAs) demonstrate the company’s approach towards scaling renewable energy capacity.

Resolven’s Renewable Energy Pipeline Reaches New Milestones

With the addition of the 200 MW wind project, Resolven continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

The company’s current renewable energy capacity status includes:

  • Operational Capacity: 1 GWp
  • Awarded Capacity: 2.7 GW
  • Under-Construction Pipeline: 1.8 GW

The Karnataka-based wind project will further strengthen Resolven’s presence in India’s growing renewable energy sector.

Wind Energy Project Supports India’s Clean Energy Goals

The development of large-scale wind projects plays an important role in India’s renewable energy expansion plans. ISTS-connected projects enable renewable power generated in resource-rich states to be transmitted across regions, improving grid integration and energy accessibility.

The SECI-Resolven partnership is expected to contribute to India’s clean energy transition and long-term renewable energy targets.
