The Uttar Pradesh Government has placed Senior IAS officer Anil Kumar Sagar (1998 batch) on the waiting list. Until recently, Officer Sagar handled three key roles: Chairman of the Yamuna Authority, Principal Secretary of the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, and IT & Electronics. His transfer comes amid a case filed by builder mafias.
Known for his low-profile yet resolute approach, Mr. Sagar earned a reputation for taking decisive action against wrongdoers in critical investigations assigned by the state government. He was widely appreciated for making the Chief Minister’s flagship project, ‘Invest UP,’ a success.
Officer Sagar’s administrative career includes serving as District Magistrate in prominent districts such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Raebareli, Sultanpur, Chandauli, Unnao, Aligarh, Etah, Siddharthnagar, Moradabad, and Saharanpur.
