Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has appealed to people across the state to actively participate in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, scheduled to be held from September 17 to October 17.
In an appeal to the people, Sai said the campaign is being organised in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public service and his birthday on September 17.
CM Appeals for Community Participation
Sai called upon residents to participate in service-oriented activities in their villages, towns and neighbourhoods.

The suggested activities include:
- Cleanliness drives
- Environmental protection initiatives
- Assistance to people in need
- Other community and public-service activities
He also urged participants to encourage more people to join the campaign.
‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ on September 17
As part of the campaign, Sai has appealed to every family in Chhattisgarh to light an ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings) at 7 pm on September 17.
He also encouraged families to involve beneficiary households in their neighbourhoods in the initiative.
According to the Chief Minister, the lamp is intended to represent the people’s wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s health and long life, as well as a collective commitment to public service, welfare and the development of India.
Focus on Service and Public Welfare
Sai said service is an integral part of Chhattisgarh’s social and cultural ethos and called for participation from different sections of society during the month-long campaign.
He referred to government initiatives related to housing, drinking water, electricity, roads, healthcare and education while highlighting the role of citizens in the broader development process.
The Chief Minister also linked the campaign with Chhattisgarh’s stated commitment to contributing to the goal of a developed India, saying that the development of villages, cities and individual households would form part of that larger objective.
He urged people to make the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan a public-participation campaign in Chhattisgarh by undertaking service and welfare-related activities during the campaign period.
