In a minor reshuffle, seven police officers have been transferred and given new posting in Delhi. Some of the officers are IPS while rest are of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Police Service (DANIPS). This is first major reshuffling of police after Rakesh Asthana took charge as the commissioner of Delhi Police. The Gujarat cadre took charge as Commissioner on last Wednesday.
The transfer order was issued by LG Anil Baijal on 5th August. The list includes Rajnish Gupta, Romil Baaniya, Ajay Krishnan Sharma, Sanjay Tyagi who are IPS officers from AGMUT cadre. Apart from them DANIPS officers K P S Malhotra, Dhal Singh Patle and Tanu Sharma have also been given new postings.
