Sikkim IPS officer Aparajita Rai won the NorthEast Young Heroes Awards 2020 in administration. The NorthEast Young Heroes Awards premiered on December 22.
Other nominations in administration included Padmapani Bora, IRS, Aparajita Rai, IPS, Mijito Vinito Chishi, IFS, and Pooja Elangbam, IAS.

Rai is the first woman IPS officer from Sikkim. She had appeared for the UPSC Civil Services exam in 2010 and 2011 and cleared both times. She is also the first Sikkimese to hold such a high rank in the civil services exam.
