New Delhi: Sipra Bajpai has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), a prominent Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Her appointment is effective from September 11, 2025, for a period of three years from the date of official notification (May 22, 2025), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Educational Background and Legal Expertise

Ms. Bajpai holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from FM University, Balasore, Odisha. Her academic qualifications are expected to bring added value in financial and legal oversight within the board’s strategic functions.

Political and Public Engagement Experience

Since 2019, Ms. Bajpai has served as the State Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha, where she has been actively involved in strengthening the party’s organizational framework, coordinating grassroots campaigns, and leading public outreach initiatives. Her role has focused on building connections across communities and furthering policy dialogue at the regional level.

RCF’s decision to induct Ms. Bajpai as an Independent Director is in line with its commitment to corporate governance, board diversity, and regulatory compliance. Independent Directors play a critical role in ensuring transparent decision-making and protecting the interests of all stakeholders.
