New Delhi: The Board of Directors of SJVN Ltd. has approved the appointment of Mr. Sipan Kumar Garg as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, reinforcing its focus on strong financial governance and strategic leadership.
Highly Qualified Finance Professional
Mr. Garg brings a distinguished career in finance and corporate governance to SJVN. Currently serving as Director (Finance) at THDC India Ltd. since August 2024, he also held the role of CFO and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) there.
He is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), and Company Secretary (CS), where he was a rank holder in the examination. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) and LL.B. degree, reflecting a strong academic foundation in finance, law, and corporate governance.
Extensive Experience in Power Sector
With over 23 years of experience in the power sector, Mr. Garg has held key positions across NTPC Group companies, including Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd. and Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. He has also contributed to NTPC’s corporate finance division and worked on the Koldam Hydro Power Project, gaining extensive expertise in financial strategy, project financing, and renewable energy investments.

Mr. Garg’s leadership has been widely recognized. In 2024, he was named Visionary CFO of India at the National Economic Growth Summit, highlighting his contributions to financial management and corporate strategy in India’s energy sector.
