New Delhi: Public sector power major SJVN Limited has announced the appointment of Shubh Karan Singh, IAS, as Part-time Official Director on its Board. The appointment, made by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, has come into effect immediately, as confirmed by SJVN in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Thursday.
Leadership Addition to the Board
Shubh Karan Singh is a 2015-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He is presently serving as Special Secretary (MPP & Power) and Non-Conventional Energy Sources in the Government of Himachal Pradesh. With this appointment, SJVN strengthens its leadership team by bringing in an officer with diverse administrative expertise and proven experience in the energy sector.
Career Profile of Shubh Karan Singh
During his career spanning over 26 years, Singh has held several significant positions in the Himachal Pradesh Government. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of HIMURJA (Himachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency), where he played a vital role in advancing renewable energy initiatives. His extensive administrative background and focus on energy governance are expected to add strategic depth to SJVN’s decision-making processes.
