Jaipur: The 15th Biennial International Conference and Exposition of the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) is set to take place from 26 to 28 October 2025 at the Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre and Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC). The event, themed “Rock to Cloud: Geo-Exploration Empowering Energy Evolution,” aims to accelerate innovation and collaboration in the field of geoscience, geophysics, and energy exploration at a time when India is intensifying efforts to ensure long-term energy security.

As India’s energy demand is expected to nearly double by 2040, the country’s upstream sector is prioritizing deepwater and offshore exploration to unlock untapped hydrocarbon reserves. Against this backdrop, SPG 2025 will bring together over 700 delegates from more than 10 countries, including leading scientists, academicians, industry leaders, and technology innovators from across the global energy value chain.

The three-day event will serve as a premier global platform to discuss cutting-edge geophysical technologies, AI-driven exploration tools, and data-centric approaches that are reshaping the future of hydrocarbon discovery and enhancing exploration efficiency.

Special emphasis will be placed on deepwater exploration case studies, advancements in seismic processing, and next-generation geo-scientific research.

The SPG 2025 Exhibition will feature a live technology showcase, displaying AI-powered interpretation systems, cloud-based data ecosystems, and high-performance computing platforms designed to reduce exploration cycle times and improve predictive accuracy.

Focus on Talent and Collaboration

Complementing the technical sessions, the event will host a Geoscience Career Symposium connecting top global energy companies with young professionals and students. A Business Programme will facilitate partnerships between energy producers, service providers, and technology firms, while Continuing Education Courses led by international experts will highlight advances in deepwater geoscience and digital transformation.

Cultural and Networking Experiences

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Jaipur, the “Pink City”, the conference will also include a Cultural Evening and Spouse Programme, offering participants a glimpse into Rajasthan’s rich traditions, cuisine, and heritage.
