Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has promoted five 2001-batch IAS officers to the prestigious Principal Secretary grade, according to an official press release issued on Sunday.
The officers promoted include T.N. Venkatesh, the Commissioner of Backward Classes Welfare; P. Umanath, the Secretary – I to Chief Minister in the Secretariat; Rajendra Ratnoo, who remains on deputation as Executive Director at the National Institute of Disaster Management in New Delhi; R. Lalvena, the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration; and R. Kirlosh Kumar, the Secretary to the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Chennai.
This promotion is a significant recognition of their contributions to the state and the public service, marking a key milestone in their careers.
