The government of Tamil Nadu has carried out a major police reshuffle by transferring as many as 56 IPS officers. Chennai, Avadi, and Tambaram have received new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).
Some of the IPS transferees are:
IPS Dheeraj Kumar presently posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the modern control room in Chennai has been redeployed to Chennai City Intelligence Section 1, with DCP Mr. S Sakthi Ganesan (2013 batch) taking up the new post.
Mr. S Selva Nagarathinam (2013 batch), previously posted as the deputy director at the Tamil Nadu police academy in Vandalur, has been made the DCP of Triplicane.
Mr. D N Hari Kiran Prasad (2016 batch), has become the DCP of Mylapore, while Ms. Bhukya Sneha Priya (2017 batch) has been mandated to take charge as DCP of Anna Nagar. IPS P Sundaravadivel and IPS D Subbulakshmi are the new DCPs of Flower Bazaar and Koyambedu, respectively.
IPS S Megalina Iden has been posted as the DCP of Chennai city headquarters, and IPS V V Geethanjali became the DCP of the central crime branch II. IPS D Ramesh Babu is now the DCP of high court security in Chennai.
IPS S Maheshwaran has been transferred and posted as the DCP of headquarters and administration of Avadi Commissionerate, and Mr. S R Senthilkumar has been assigned as the DCP of headquarters and administration of Tambaram Commissionerate.
Officer D Shanmugapriya (1994 batch) has been posted as the SP of CB-CID-III, and Officer V Anbu has been appointed as the DCP of city traffic in the Avadi Commissionerate.
