Tamil Nadu: Major Shake Up In Bureaucracy, IAS Supriya Sahu Made Health Secy

On July 1st, the government of Tamil Nadu orchestrated a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, transferring several eminent IAS officers.

Ms. Supriya Sahu (1991-batch IAS), last posted as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Department of Environment, Climate Changes and Forest, was mandated to assume fresh charge as the ACS of Health, replacing Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi (1993-batch IAS), who was posted as the head in the Department of Rural Development.

Mr. B Chandra Mohan (1995-batch IAS), the incumbent Secretary in the Public Works Department (PWD), was transferred to the Department of Tourism and Religious Endowments. Dr. K Manivasan (1993-batch IAS) has been transferred from the Culture and Tourism Ministry to the Department of Water Resources.
