Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has promoted several senior and junior IAS and IPS officers, strengthening the administrative and policing leadership in the state.
Principal Secretary to the Energy Department Naveen Mittal and Principal Secretary to Labour and Employment Dana Kishore have been elevated to the rank of Special Chief Secretary, recognizing their distinguished service in key administrative roles.
Senior IPS Officers Promoted
Two senior IPS officers have received promotions to Additional Director General (ADG) of Police. Akun Sabharwal, a 2001-batch officer who was on central deputation, and Rachkonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu have been elevated, reflecting their contributions to law enforcement and public safety in the state.

Junior Administrative Grade Promotions for 2017 Batch IAS Officers
In addition to senior promotions, 14 IAS officers from the 2017 batch have been granted the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) scale. These officers have retained their current posts while receiving the upgraded grade, ensuring continuity of administrative leadership.

Strengthening Administration and Governance
These promotions are part of the state government’s efforts to recognize merit, enhance administrative efficiency, and ensure capable leadership across key departments and law enforcement agencies.
