Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across several key departments, including the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The reshuffle also involved multiple additional charge assignments to senior bureaucrats, while senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Vinay Kumar was given Full Additional Charge (FAC) as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force) ahead of the retirement of incumbent PCCF C. Suvarna on June 30.
In another major bureaucratic overhaul, the Telangana government has reshuffled 13 IAS officers, making important changes in the Chief Minister’s Office, Industries & Commerce Department, Revenue Department, Environment & Forests, Disaster Management, Tourism, Urban Development, and several other departments.
The transfers are aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency while assigning additional responsibilities to several senior officers.
Key Changes in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO)
One of the biggest changes in the reshuffle concerns the Chief Minister’s Office.
B. Ajith Reddy (IDES), who was serving as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Invest Telangana under the Industries & Commerce Department.
Replacing him in the CMO, N. Sridhar, who was serving as Principal Secretary (Mines & Geology), Industries & Commerce Department, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Sabyasachi Ghosh Gets Multiple Additional Responsibilities
1994 batch senior IAS officer Sabyasachi Ghosh, currently serving as Special Chief Secretary for Implementation of Flagship Welfare & Developmental Schemes Unit and Corporate Social Responsibility, has been entrusted with several additional responsibilities.
He has been given Full Additional Charge (FAC) as:
- Special Chief Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department
- Director, Handlooms & Textiles
- Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Telangana Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd.
- Managing Director, TGCO
These responsibilities come following the transfer of Shailaja Ramaiyer.
He will also continue holding the additional charge of:
- Special Chief Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department
- Special Chief Secretary, Welfare Department.
Shailaja Ramaiyer Shifted to Environment Department
1997 batch IAS officer Shailaja Ramaiyer, who was serving as Principal Secretary (Endowments) under the Revenue Department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Department, replacing Ahmad Nadeem.
Additionally, she has been entrusted with:
- FAC as Principal Secretary (Endowments)
- FAC as Director General, EPTRI
Ahmad Nadeem Gets Political Department
Following the reshuffle, 1997 batch IAS officer Ahmad Nadeem has been appointed as:
- Principal Secretary (Political), General Administration Department (GAD)
He replaces 2002 batch IAS M. Raghunandan Rao, who has been relieved of the additional charge.
Nadeem has also been given Full Additional Charge as:
- Principal Secretary, Minorities Welfare Department
Rahul Bojja Returns From Leave
After returning from leave, 2000 batch IAS Rahul Bojja has been appointed as:
- Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, Revenue Department
He replaces Harichandana Dasari, who had been holding the post as additional charge.
Rahul Bojja will continue to hold Full Additional Charge of:
- Principal Secretary, BC Welfare Department
Mines & Geology Assigned to M. Raghunandan Rao
M. Raghunandan Rao, Secretary to Government (Commercial Taxes & Excise), Revenue Department, has been entrusted with Full Additional Charge of:
- Secretary, Mines & Geology Department
following the transfer of N. Sridhar.

- Joint Metropolitan Commissioner (Core Urban Region, Land Pooling & Metro Rail), HMDA
Vinay Kumar Gets Additional Charge as Head of Forest Force
In a parallel development, the Telangana government has entrusted 1992-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Vinay Kumar, currently serving as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden (CWLW), with Full Additional Charge as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force – HoFF).
The arrangement will remain in force until further orders.
The move comes as incumbent PCCF C. Suvarna is scheduled to retire on June 30, 2026.
Reshuffle Focuses on Governance and Administrative Efficiency
The latest reshuffle reflects the Telangana government’s continued efforts to streamline governance by repositioning experienced officers across crucial departments, particularly the Chief Minister’s Office, Industries & Commerce, Environment, Disaster Management, Welfare, Urban Administration, Tourism, and Forests.
The assignment of multiple Full Additional Charges also indicates the government’s strategy to ensure continuity in administration while filling key vacancies and managing departmental transitions.
