Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday issued a fresh round of transfers and postings of IAS officers, bringing notable changes across key administrative departments including Animal Husbandry, Tribal Welfare, Transport, and General Administration.

The orders, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), are part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating the implementation of flagship welfare and development schemes.

Sabyasachi Ghosh to Head Implementation of Welfare Schemes Unit

As per the official notification, Sabyasachi Ghosh, currently serving as Special Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, has been transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary (Implementation of Flagship Welfare and Development Schemes Unit).

This new role places him in charge of monitoring and coordinating key welfare and development programs initiated by the State government.

Anita Ramachandran Gets Additional Charge of Tribal Welfare

Anita Ramachandran, Secretary of Women and Child Welfare Department, has been assigned Full Additional Charge (FAC) of Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, and Commissioner, Tribal Welfare.

Her appointment consolidates leadership across welfare-focused departments, ensuring smoother coordination in schemes targeting women, children, and tribal communities.

Ilambarathi Appointed Transport Commissioner

Ilambarathi, previously Secretary for Metropolitan Area and Urban Development, has been transferred and posted as Transport Commissioner, relieving M. Raghunandan Rao from additional charge of the post.

The move is expected to streamline administrative efficiency within the Transport Department and strengthen urban mobility governance.

E. Sridhar to Handle General Administration Department

E. Sridhar, Secretary of Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Department, has been given FAC as Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD).

This change follows the voluntary retirement of S.A.M. Rizvi, which came into effect on October 31. Sridhar’s appointment ensures administrative continuity within one of the State’s key departments.

New Appointments in Horticulture, SC Development, and Implementation Units

S.K. Yasmeen Basha, Director of Horticulture and Sericulture, has been given FAC as Managing Director, TGOILFED, replacing J. Shankariah, who has been transferred.

G. Jitender, CEO of Adilabad Zilla Parishad, has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner, Scheduled Castes Development (SCD), relieving N. Kshitija from additional charge. He will also hold FAC as VC & MD, Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Corporation Limited, following Kshitija’s transfer.

B. Saidulu, Secretary of MJPTBCWREIS, has been given FAC as Special Secretary (Implementation of Flagship Welfare and Development Schemes Unit).

These appointments indicate a focus on continuity and efficiency across social welfare and development portfolios.

Administrative Realignment Ahead of Policy Push

The reshuffle comes amid the State’s broader administrative realignment to improve delivery of flagship programs and ensure better inter-departmental coordination. Officials said the new appointments are expected to expedite decision-making and strengthen policy implementation across critical departments.
