Agartala: The Government of Tripura has announced a significant administrative reshuffle involving several IAS and Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers, with new postings and changes in additional charges across departments and subdivisions.
The orders, issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, take immediate effect and include the placement of newly trained IAS officers in key field assignments.
Kuntal Das Relieved of Additional Charges
Kuntal Das, IAS, Special Secretary, OBC Welfare and Industries & Commerce (Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture), has been relieved of her additional responsibilities as Director, OBC Welfare, and Managing Director, Tripura OBC Welfare Co-operative Development Corporation.
The changes will allow the concerned departments to reallocate responsibilities among officers as part of the latest administrative restructuring.

Tamal Majumdar Relieved as Urban Development Director
Tamal Majumdar, IAS, Special Secretary in the Home (Fire & Emergency Services) Department, has been relieved of his additional charge as Director of Urban Development.
He will, however, continue to serve as Director, Fire & Emergency Services, along with his existing responsibility as Special Secretary, Urban Development.
Nirmal Kumar Posted as Director Urban Development
Nirmal Kumar, IAS, who was serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khowai, has been transferred to Agartala and posted as Director, Urban Development.
In addition to his new assignment, he will hold the charge of Director, OBC Welfare, and Managing Director, Tripura OBC Welfare Co-operative Development Corporation.
His position as SDM Khowai will be taken over by Rimita Saha, IAS, who has completed her Phase-II training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
Rimita Saha will also serve as CEO, Khowai Municipal Council, alongside her SDM responsibilities.
Changes in Kanchanpur Administration
Ashis Biswas, TCS Gr-I, SDM Kanchanpur, has been transferred to Agartala and posted as Joint Director, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture.
His responsibilities at Kanchanpur will be taken over by Thite Shubham Bhagvan, IAS, following completion of Phase-II training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
The move places a newly trained IAS officer in a key sub-divisional field posting while shifting the serving TCS officer to a departmental assignment in the state capital.
Santirbazar Gets New SDM
Tarun Kanti Sarkar, TCS Gr-I, who was serving as SDM Santirbazar and CEO, Santirbazar Municipal Council, has been transferred to Ambassa.
He will serve as Senior Deputy Collector in the office of the District Magistrate & Collector, Dhalai.
His Santirbazar assignment will be taken over by Deepika Gautam, IAS, who has completed Phase-II training at LBSNAA.
She will serve as SDM Santirbazar as well as CEO, Santirbazar Municipal Council.
N.S. Chakma Transferred to Agartala
N.S. Chakma, TCS Gr-I, SDM Kumarghat, has been transferred to Agartala and posted as Joint Director, General Administration (Printing & Stationery) Department.
His responsibilities at Kumarghat will be taken over by Shubham Meena, IAS, who has completed Phase-II training at LBSNAA.
Shubham Meena will also hold the additional responsibility of CEO, Kumarghat Municipal Council.
Administrative Reshuffle Focuses on Field Postings
The latest changes reflect the Tripura government’s move to strengthen administrative functioning by assigning recently trained IAS officers to important sub-divisional and municipal responsibilities, while experienced officers are being shifted to departmental and senior assignments in Agartala.
The reshuffle also redistributes several additional charges, particularly in Urban Development, OBC Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, and General Administration, with the new arrangements taking effect immediately.
