In a flurry of administrative changes, the Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh has executed another round of transfers affecting top bureaucratic positions across the state. The reshuffle saw three prominent IAS officers reassigned to key posts.
2015 batch IAS officer Pavan Agarwal, District Magistrate of Siddharthnagar, has been transferred to Balrampur as the new District Magistrate.
While, Mr Raja Ganapathy R, also an IAS officer of 2015 batch, has now taken over as the District Magistrate of Siddharthnagar. He was previously posted as the Director of Medical and Health Services.
Adding to these changes, 2016 batch IAS officer Madan Singh Garbyal, Vice Chairman of the Kanpur Development Authority, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Kanpur Municipal Commissioner.
Notably, the transfer orders did not include a new assignment for Arvind Singh, the former District Magistrate of Balrampur, amidst reports of complaints lodged by public representatives against him.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, a significant reshuffle saw 21 IAS and 8 IPS officers moved to different postings across the state. District Magistrates of 12 districts, including Moradabad, Sitapur, and Kasganj, were among those affected by the latest wave of transfers.
