Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh cadre is set to receive 21 new IAS officers of the 2025 batch, with the state government issuing district-wise field postings ahead of their formal joining after completion of training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
These trainee officers will complete Phase-I of their professional course on April 17, 2026, after which they will be posted in districts as Assistant Magistrates and Assistant Collectors for grassroots administrative exposure.
The posting order was issued by Arunesh Kumar Dwivedi, 2014 batch promoter IAS officer and Joint Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Field Training to Begin After April 17
According to the official communication, the officers will report directly to the District Magistrates of their allotted districts after passing out from LBSNAA.
The district attachment phase is considered one of the most critical parts of IAS probation, where officers are tested in real administrative environments.
Officials said the field assignment will help assess:
- Administrative decision-making
- Public grievance handling
- Revenue work
- Law and order understanding
- Development implementation
Their future substantive postings will depend significantly on their performance during this stage.
