UP Cadre IPS Officer Sanjay Singhal Appointed Special DG in BSF

Sanjay Singhal, a 1993-batch IPS officer from the UP cadre, has been appointed the Special Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF). Before this, Singhal held the position of Additional DG and headed the Establishment Board in UP Police, where he introduced reforms in service rules and improved efficiency for non-gazetted ranks.

With a career marked by dedication, Singhal also served in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and later as Inspector General (IG) between 2008 and 2015. He was recognized with a medal for his distinguished service during a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.

Singhal joins BSF under the leadership of Director General Daljeet Chaudhary, who also hails from the UP cadre.
