Lucknow: A wave of significant administrative developments is underway in Uttar Pradesh, with senior IAS, IPS, and PCS officers either retiring or seeking Voluntary Retirement Service (VRS) this month. Among the latest, IPS officer Sudha Singh (IPS-SPS: 2011), currently serving as DIG, Railways, has formally applied for voluntary retirement.
Sources indicate that her decision may be linked to the serious health condition of her husband, fellow IPS officer Vinay Singh, although no official statement has been issued yet. The legal and administrative process for her VRS application is reportedly in motion.
More VRS Cases Emerging in UP Police
IPS Singh’s VRS request follows that of IPS officer K. Satyanarayan, who also recently applied for voluntary retirement. His application is currently under process. Additionally, unconfirmed reports suggest that another IPS officer may be considering a similar move, although this has yet to be officially verified.
