Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday carried out another administrative reshuffle, transferring three IAS officers and assigning them new responsibilities in different departments and development authorities.
The latest changes involve Santosh Kumar, Lakshmi N, and Suraj Patel, with each officer receiving important assignments linked to urban development and institutional administration.
The reshuffle comes amid an ongoing series of administrative transfers in the state, with several IAS officers having been shifted in recent weeks.
Santosh Kumar Appointed Executive Director of UP Outsourced Services Corporation
Under the latest order, Santosh Kumar has been appointed as Executive Director of the Uttar Pradesh Outsourced Services Corporation.
He was earlier serving as Vice-Chairman of the Saharanpur Development Authority.
Officials said the new assignment places him in charge of an important administrative body dealing with outsourced service management and staffing operations in the state.

Lakshmi N Gets Additional Charge of Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad CEO
A key feature of the reshuffle is the additional responsibility given to Lakshmi N, who currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority.
She has now been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.
This assignment is considered significant because the Braj region is one of the most important religious tourism zones in Uttar Pradesh, attracting millions of pilgrims annually.
Officials view her appointment as an important administrative move given the region’s strategic cultural and tourism importance.
Lakshmi N’s Administrative Background Strengthens Her New Role
Lakshmi N, a 2019-batch IAS officer, is originally from Karnataka and is regarded as a capable officer with strong field-level administrative experience.
She holds a B.E. degree in Information Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
In her career so far, she has served in several important positions including:
• Joint Magistrate in Agra
• Joint Magistrate in Kanpur Nagar
• Chief Development Officer in Kanpur Dehat
Her tenure in Mathura-Vrindavan has also been noted for accelerating development projects in the religious urban zone.
With the additional charge, she will now oversee development linked to pilgrimage infrastructure, tourism expansion, and religious circuit planning in Braj.
Suraj Patel Shifted to Saharanpur Development Authority
As part of the reshuffle, Suraj Patel has been transferred from the post of CEO of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.
He has now been appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Saharanpur Development Authority, replacing Santosh Kumar.
This transfer completes the three-officer administrative adjustment announced by the state government.
Braj Region Assignment Seen as Strategically Important
Officials believe Lakshmi N’s additional role carries special significance because Braj remains a major centre for:
• Religious tourism
• Pilgrimage infrastructure development
• Heritage conservation
• Regional urban planning
The Uttar Pradesh government has been focusing heavily on spiritual tourism circuits, and Braj remains one of its priority zones.
Recent IAS Reshuffles Continue in Uttar Pradesh
The latest transfers follow another administrative reshuffle last week in which seven IAS officers were shifted.
Among those earlier changes:
• Prakash Bindu was transferred to the Home Department
• Lokesh M. became Secretary of the Public Works Department
• Mahendra Prasad was appointed Special Secretary, UP Reorganization Coordination Department
• Neena Sharma became Principal Secretary and Director General of Public Enterprises
• Sanjay Kumar was appointed Director of the Administration and Management Academy
This indicates that the state’s administrative restructuring process is continuing across departments.
