Lucknow: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has carried out another round of transfers for the second consecutive day. The government transferred 16 IPS officers, impacting the leadership in 10 districts. This significant move is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen law and order.
It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, the government had transferred 7 IPS officers, and a day before that, 16 IAS officers were also reshuffled.
The reshuffle impacts several key districts, including Aligarh, Hardoi, Sonbhadra, and Unnao.
According to the official transfer order, Azamgarh SP Hemraj Meena, Kushinagar SP Santosh Kumar Mishra, and Deoria SP Vikrant Veer have been relieved from their district postings and attached to the police headquarters in Lucknow.
Other key changes include
2015 batch IPS Neeraj kumar Jadaun, previously posted as SP Hardoi, has been appointed as SP Aligarh.
2015 batch IPS officer Ashok Kumar Meena, earlier serving as SP Sonbhadra, will now take charge as SP Hardoi.
2016 batch IPS officer Abhishek Verma, who was earlier removed from Hapur and serving in a non-field posting, has made a comeback to the field and has been given command of Sonbhadra district.
A promotee IPS officer of 2013 batch, Mr Jaiprakash Singh, who was posted as SP Security, Lucknow, has been made the new SP of Unnao.
2014 batch IPS officer Sanjeev Suman, the outgoing SP Aligarh, will now serve as SP Deoria.
The reshuffle also saw multiple other transfers–
Deepak Bhukar (2016 batch) – from SP Unnao to SP Pratapgarh.
Dr. Anil Kumar-II (2016 batch) – from SP Pratapgarh to SSP Azamgarh.
Keshaw Kumar (2017 batch) – from SP Ambedkarnagar to SP Kushinagar.
Abhijit R. Shankar (2018 batch) – from SP Auraiya to SP Ambedkarnagar.
Abhishek Bharti (2018 batch) – from Additional SP, Police Commissionerate Prayagraj to SP Auraiya.
Manish Kumar Sandilya (2018 batch) – from Commandant, 4th Battalion PAC, Prayagraj to Additional SP, Police Commissionerate Prayagraj.
Anil Kumar Jha, a promotee IPS officer – appointed as SP, Railways Agra.
Sarvesh Kumar Mishra, a promotee IPS officer – from PAC Sitapur to Commandant, 4th Battalion PAC, Prayagraj.
These reshuffles are aimed at boosting efficiency and ensuring better law enforcement in sensitive districts.
