Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the dates for the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025 written examination, bringing major relief to thousands of aspirants preparing for the selection process.
As per the official notification issued on Tuesday, the written examination for Constable Civil Police and equivalent posts will be conducted on June 8, 9 and 10, 2026, in two shifts each day.
32,679 Posts to Be Filled Through Recruitment Drive
The recruitment examination will be held over three days to fill a total of 32,679 vacancies in the Uttar Pradesh Police. The large-scale recruitment drive is part of the state government’s continued efforts to strengthen the police force and generate employment opportunities for youth.

Exam Details to Be Released on Official Website
Candidates will be able to access exam-related information, including exam centres, admit cards, shift details and guidelines, on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board in due course.
Age Relaxation Provides Major Relief to Aspirants
The Yogi Adityanath-led government has provided significant relief to candidates by granting a one-time relaxation of three years in the upper age limit for the Constable Civil Police and equivalent posts under Direct Recruitment 2025.
The decision was taken in the interest of aspirants under Rule 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Relaxation of Age Limit for Recruitment) Rules, 1992, and was implemented through a government order issued on January 5, 2026, in continuation of the recruitment advertisement dated December 31, 2025.
Previous Record Recruitment Highlights Government Focus
It is noteworthy that in 2024, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board conducted recruitment for 60,244 constable posts, marking the largest police recruitment drive in the state’s history. Of the total appointments made, 20 percent of the posts were reserved for women, reinforcing the government’s commitment to gender inclusion in law enforcement.
