From Villages to Vital Roads: UP Govt Allocates Rs 7.97 Crore for Rural Road Development in Bareilly, Shahjehanpur, Pilibhit & Badaun

Under Chief Minister’s Village Scheme 2025-26, 25 rural roads to be upgraded to improve connectivity and support infrastructure and heritage development in Uttar Pradesh.

Bareilly: In a major push to improve rural connectivity, the Uttar Pradesh government has released Rs 7.97 crore for the construction and repair of 25 rural roads in the Bareilly division for the financial year 2025-26. The allocation, part of the Chief Minister’s Village Scheme, covers districts including Bareilly, Shahjehanpur, Pilibhit, and Badaun.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasized that alongside infrastructure development, the beautification and restoration of religious and heritage sites will remain a top priority.

Bareilly: Seven Key Road Projects Get Boost

In Bareilly district, seven rural roads have been sanctioned for development:

  • Mirgumpur Narikheda-Mirzapur via Bahadupur Bimam Naugawan Road – Rs 1.68 crore (Rs 48.02 lakh released)
  • Faridpur-Sathrapur Industrial Area Kachra Processing Plant Road – Rs 83.18 lakh (Rs 23.48 lakh released)
  • Maheshpur-Fejnagar Road – Rs 72.88 lakh (Rs 23.48 lakh released)
  • Devkola-Rampura Road, Aonla – Rs 1.70 crore (Rs 48.10 lakh released)
  • Shahpur Honspsur-Mahimangla Road, Mirgumpur – Rs 57.58 lakh (Rs 16.22 lakh released)
  • Chatiya Rahmat Ali Link Road, Nawabganj – Rs 65.44 lakh (Rs 18.36 lakh released)
  • Faridapur Mutlak Khjuriya Link Road – Rs 70.55 lakh (Rs 19.73 lakh released)

These projects aim to improve accessibility and facilitate smoother transport for residents in rural areas.

Shahjehanpur: Strengthening Rural Connectivity

Shahjehanpur district will see six rural road projects funded under the scheme:

  • Kurusanda-Panchpir Baba Road – Rs 1.35 crore (Rs 38.27 lakh released)
  • Parotan Link Road, Katra – Rs 99.38 lakh (Rs 27.80 lakh released)
  • Sukhnaiya-Jhakreli-Lageva Nagla Link Road, Jalalabad – Rs 1.12 crore (Rs 31.40 lakh released)
  • Mustafanagar-Rahimadaspur Link Road – Rs 1.28 crore (Rs 35.89 lakh released)
  • Puwaina-Nahil-Bharsanda Link Road – Rs 2.03 crore (Rs 57.11 lakh released)
  • Dingurpur-Dadrol-Sahajapur Link Road – Rs 1.61 crore (Rs 45.64 lakh released)

These initiatives are expected to enhance connectivity and promote socio-economic growth in remote villages.

Pilibhit: Six Projects to Enhance Accessibility

Pilibhit district has six road projects sanctioned:

  • Pilibhit-Basti-Mirapur Road – Rs 1.07 crore (Rs 30.11 lakh released)
  • Pilibhit-Mazola-Barkhera-Gaganapur Link Road – Rs 92.22 lakh (Rs 25.79 lakh released)
  • Nyuria Mahof-Kanpur Colony-Gupta Colony Road – Rs 75.14 lakh (Rs 21.02 lakh released)
  • Puranpur-Pilibhit-Basti-Tiretannath Temple Road – Rs 1.86 crore (Rs 52.09 lakh released)
  • Bilsalpur-Mighauna-Dhakwara Link Road – Rs 73.26 lakh (Rs 20.49 lakh released)
  • Eantgav-Bamroli Road via Rampur Amrut, Kawiya Village – Rs 1.83 crore (Rs 38.27 lakh released)

The projects are designed to strengthen local transport networks and support regional development.

Badaun: Four Key Road Upgrades

In Badaun district, four rural road projects have been allocated funds:

  • Ghouspur-Byour Road – Rs 1.11 crore (Rs 31.75 lakh released)
  • Barategadar-Rajlamai Road – Rs 1.57 crore (Rs 44.30 lakh released)
  • Harganpur-Pitam Nagar-Pritam Nagla Road, Bilsi – Rs 1.41 crore (Rs 40.28 lakh released)
  • Dadanganj Nani Sarai-Pachtaur-Bihariapur-Diony Road – Rs 1.27 crore (Rs 35.60 lakh released)
  • Rukumapur Pukhta-Barihkheda Road Renovation – Rs 85.60 lakh (Rs 23.94 lakh released)

These initiatives are expected to improve rural mobility, aid transportation of goods, and enhance local livelihoods.

Focus on Rural Development and Heritage

Through this allocation under the Chief Minister’s Village Scheme, the UP government continues to prioritize rural connectivity, heritage preservation, and socio-economic growth. The combined approach aims to strengthen village infrastructure while maintaining the cultural and historical integrity of the region.
