On June 24th, the government of Uttar Pradesh transferred two IPS officers. Mr. Akhihlesh Kumar (2005-batch IPS officer), the incumbent Inspector General (IG) of Azamgarh, was made IG of the Economic Offence Wing (EOW). Mr. Vaibhav Krishna (2010-batch IPS officer), presently posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Security, was mandated to assume office as the DIG of Azamgarh.
